Hesperia, California
Hesperia Country Club“Walk in the footsteps of legends” Come play Hesperia Golf & Country Club, and “walk in the footsteps of legends” on this classic golf masterpiece. At Hesperia Golf & CC, you will play in the footsteps of legends at one of California’s most challenging and best kept golf secrets. Built in 1957, this 7,001 yard former PGA Tour stop hosted some of the top players of that era including Arnold Palmer, Gary Player, Sam Snead, Billy Casper, Gene Littler, and Julius Boros. Hesperia Golf Club was also host of Shell’s Wonderful World of Golf television program and ranked by California Golf Magazine as the seventh toughest public course in Southern California and rated as one of the top twenty courses in the state. Come and see if you can beat Gene Littler’s course record 62 which was set a record 44 years ago in 1959. After golf relax with a cold drink in our Ponderosa Bar & Lounge or let our professional staff host your banquet of 16 to 215 persons. The Hesperia Golf & Country Club is an 18-hole, championship golf course designed by acclaimed golf course architect William F. Bell Jr. in 1957. Hesperia G&CC has been designed with three sets of tees per hole, playing from 6,136 to 7,001 yards. From the back tees the course has a rating of 73.5 and slope of 131. With more than 2,000 mature trees bordering every fairway, Hesperia G&CC is a classic layout and a “throwback” to a bygone era when courses were built on abundant and scenic land. Hesperia G&CC is open to the public and also has annual membership plans available. Located amidst the High Desert area of Southern California, the picturesque Hesperia Golf & Country Club is an outstanding locale for private tournaments, golf outings, as well as weddings, banquets, and other social activities utilizing the exquisite Ponderosa ball room and restaurant. The facility includes a 3,000 square foot restaurant and bar with a 2,500 square foot outdoor patio area. Amenities include indoor-outdoor restaurant and bar, grass driving range, pitching green, and putting greens. Banquet room, patio, and outdoor gazebo garden area can accommodate up to 300 persons. If you haven’t played Hesperia Golf & Country Club in awhile it is now managed by Donovan Bros Golf. Many improvements have been made throughout the clubhouse and golf course that has helped refresh this classic facility.
